Love 9-28-12

Love. It's a tough thing to accomplish. Loving someone and having them love you back may be one of the hardest things known to mankind. Being one that likes challenges, i accept this just likes most others in this world.

We don't do it for attention, for glamour, or because it's the so called "cool" or "right" thing to do, we do it because it's irresistable. When you think about that special person, that significant other, and they are always on your mind. Everything begins to relate to them throughout the day. The music you listen to, the tweets you read, or even the emotions of others may convince you that you are in love with someone.

But there is always the other person's "feelings" if you know what i mean. To them, you are just another person, usually close, but never close enough. Lingering around in their presence, they don't feel the same emotions as you, and don't get the same thoughts or relations as you.

So what exactly is love one may ask? Love is the absolute, heart stopping, nervous breakdown, pounding in your heart everytime you see or talk to "the one". When you go to bed thinking about them, have occasional dreams about them, wake up with them still on your mind before you even notice what time it is. When you can't make it through the day without having constant thoughts about them.

Not to get tangled up with physical attraction, which can be defined as a single feeling or sight. Such as, she is pretty, or wow she looks hot. Love is when you are attracted to them when they aren't looking their best. When you promise to always be there for them when they are sad. When you argue over your differences, you have to learn to compromise. Learn to love all these differences because that is what separates love, from any other type of normal relationship. That is what makes them beautiful.

How do you know if you love someone? Ask yourself that. Try to describe your feelings... If you can't, then you might be in love. It is impossible. There is nothing in the english language that is capable of explaining the word love, it just stands in a separate universe.

One magical word can also be so negative when used in the wrong circumstances, such as in physical relationships that feel very relatable. It is absolutely crazy how much that one word can totally change your life for the worse in a single instant. There is a time for everything, but this word is never to be spoken of.

So if you ask me why i stand so strong-willed with this word, i have been there before. I have made mistakes i wish i hadn't, but now i have a chance with a new girl which i really feel like good things could come. Not anytime soon of course because as i mentioned earlier, she has those "other feelings" and just enjoys having me as a friend. Which is understandable coming from her part.

One day my time will come, everything happens for a reason, and i am going to do my best to make sure that i am the one there for her in the end, no matter the wait. That is what love is all about, it doesn't happen in a day, or a month. It takes years for those mutual feelings to develop. To be around each other so much that the feelings aren't evident, but are one day realized and suddenly come into effect. That is real love.
